Flinders Petrie (1853–1942) was a pioneering archaeologist whose innovative methods revolutionised the study of Ancient History. Born in Kent, England, he developed an early passion for archaeology and began surveying Roman monuments as a teenager. Over the course of his career, Petrie made many significant discoveries, including the Merneptah Stele, a key artifact in Ancient History. His exceptional methodology and numerous contributions to the field earned him a knighthood in 1923.
